According to K-NEWS River Gee correspondent, the fatal accident occurred while Katieh was assisting a power saw operator during a routine tree-felling operation.
In a sudden turn of events, the large tree being cut fell in the wrong direction, striking Katieh and causing immediate fatal injuries.
Despite urgent rescue efforts, the 34-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local authorities swiftly organized a 15-member coroner jury to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Findings from the investigation confirmed that Katieh died instantly from the impact. His body has since been released to his family for burial.
