Another CDC Lawmaker, to Earn Master Degree from CU graduate School

Government officials of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) are not making the attainment of Degrees from some of the leading universities in Liberia lazy with just a year to the expiration of their tenure. Month ago, following announcement by Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Koijee that he was graduating from state-owned University, there were intense claims and counter claims over his studies at the institution. This news of his graduation came as surprise with many claiming that the Mayor had never been an active student at UL. However, following the lunch of investigation into the matter, the UL authorities established that the Chairman of the National Youth League of the CDC has been a student of the institution and has gone through the requirements to graduate. Depute public outcry that the CDC officials- who have publicly admitted of going through hard times but things became better on entering public office, of using the country money in buying degrees, it seems to have fallen on deaf ears with recent announcement by Montserrado County district #5 Representative Thomas P. Fallah. Rep. Fallah who calmed to have grown in poverty and had to supplement their little earnings by selling plank and empty bottles in the slums and ghettos of Sugar Hill in Red light on Monday, took to his social media platform announcing that he will be graduating with a Master in Public Administration with emphasis in public sector management, from the Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies on June 17, 2022. The founder and proprietor of the Thomas P. Fallah Institute of Academic and Vocational Education and the Thomas P. Fallah University College said “as a lawmaker, it’s been an incredibly difficult journey balancing graduate school duties alongside my commitment to my constituents, party and family…..But through it all, I’ve persisted. And today, against incredible odds, I successfully defended my thesis”. Rep. Thomas P. Fallah writes

I grew up in poverty. My mother sold potato greens near our house, father never had a job. I had to supplement our little earnings by selling plank and empty bottles in the slums and ghettos of Sugar Hill in Red light.

Growing up was tough. I do not remember going to a school of my choice, but I was always committed to achieving excellence in education because I knew that aside from ambition and talent, I needed education to achieve my dreams. With God, I made it through secondary school.

My undergraduate experience was also not very exciting, I dropped out intermittently because I could not afford to keep myself in school while supporting the family.

As a lawmaker, it’s been an incredibly difficult journey balancing graduate school duties alongside my commitment to my constituents, party and family. But through it all, I’ve persisted. And today, against incredible odds, I successfully defended my thesis.

I’m proud to announce that I will graduate with a Master in Public Administration with emphasis in public sector management, from the Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies on June 17, 2022.

As the founder and proprietor of the Thomas P. Fallah Institute of Academic and Vocational Education and the Thomas P. Fallah University College, this degree means a lot to me. I also hope it will inspire my students to be persistent and believe that it is never too late to pursue your dreams in academia because education is the only property that no one can take away from you.

Folks, you’re never too old to learn! You should be never too busy, either!

The researcher submits!

Congratulations to me!!!!
