“Anyone Who Supports George Weah for President in 2023 can be Equated to a Murderer,” Says EFFL Gonquoi

Following months of being silent in the political spheres of the Country, the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL) have bounced back with calls on Liberians, not to reelect President George Weah.

The EFFL through its Leader, Emmanuel Gonquoi who termed the Liberian Leader as a “threat to the country’s international image” also called on all opposition political parties to Unite and unseat the CDC government.

He said, “anyone who supports George Weah for President in 2023 can be equated to a murder.”

According to EFFL, George Weah’s presidency is nothing but a cataclysmic mistake that has glaringly proven to be a danger currently befalling the nation and a looming danger waiting to even befall the country in a greater proportion in the future.

The political movement also used the occasion to draw the international community’s attention to the move by the National Elections Commission (NEC) to not recognize them as a political institution.

“George Weah must be made to see a reason to discontinue his unconstitutional and undemocratic maneuverings aimed at denying the democratic process of the certification of the EFFL” Gonquoi said.
