Australia Tops Commonwealth Games Table
Australia, New Zealand, and India make three of the top five nations in the CWG 2022 medal leaderboard ahead of the final day’s action in Birmingham.
Australia ended the competition with sixty-seven gold medals, fifty-seven silver medals, and fifty-four bronze medals finishing as champions while runner-up England ended the competition with fifty-seven gold medals, sixty-six silver medals, and fifty-three bronze medals.
Canada, India, New Zealand, Scotland, and Nigeria all ended up in third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh place respectively.
All action came to an end on Monday in the city of Birmingham with over forty-three Nations participating in the 2022 edition of the Commonwealth games.
Meanwhile, P. V. Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won the Gold in Women’s and Men’s Singles, and Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the third Indian gold of the day in Badminton.
The medal rush continued with table tennis veteran Sharath Kamal adding another gold in the men’s singles.
