BREAKING: Family of Late Princess Cooper Abandons Quest for Second Autopsy; Citing Unfairness In Justice System
Monrovia – The family of the late Princess Cooper has distanced itself from the conduct of a second autopsy of the remains of their daughter.
The body of the late Princess Cooper was discovered in a pool of blood in a fence belonging to the FAWAZ Building Construction Company at the ELWA Junction in Paynesville City on March 24, 2022.
Following the intervention and conduct of autopsy by the government of Liberia, President George Weah instructed the Ministry of Justice to work with the family in bringing in their own Pathologist to conduct a second autopsy which was welcomed by the family.
However, in breaking silence said they have resolved to lay their daughter to rest.
In one of the nine counts, the family cited unfairness in the Justice system of the country; adding the road to obtaining justice is like a fruitless journey.
“In an effort to bringing closure to our grieves, bereavement and to foster peace of mind, we have therefore requested via a formal communication written to the Government of Liberia through the Justice Ministry to take delivery of the body of our beloved Princess for the purpose of giving her a befitting burial,” the family stated in the release.
