BREAKING NEWS: Sen. Johnson’s MDR Accuses Weah- Government of Attempting to Assassinate its Founding Father

The Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) has alarmed over alleged plans by George Weah’s Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Government to assassinate its funding father and Senior Senator of Nimba County, Prince Y. Johnson.

Speaking to a team of reporters at its party’s headquarters Thursday evening, MDR through its National Vice Chairman for mobilization and recruitment, Nesco Warlo said the party received the information from a high-place source which they refused to disclose to the media.

“We have received intelligence from a high place source that the George Weah-led Government has plan to assassinate our founder, Senator Prince Johnson and other executive members of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction for our advocacy.” Nesco Warlo said.

“Senator Johnson is a senator of Nimba and part of his responsibility has to do with advocacy , so his advocacy should not be seen as a threat that a government under George Weah will seek his life,” the party added.

This is coming weeks after Senator withdrew his support for the second term bid of President Weah.

Of recent, his party has been vocal about the government’s failure to live up to it promises made to the Liberian people and the country at large.
