Court Summons Ex-VP Boakai over Land Dispute Case with U.S. Based Liberian – Latest Liberian News

MONROVIA – Judge Kennedy Peabody has issued a writ of summon on former Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai to appear in court on or before April 27 to answer to a complaint filed against him.
The resident Judge of the Civil Law court action’s followed a complaint filed by one Arnold Kandakai from the United States through his Attorney In-fact Reginald Bright over a Title Deed.
A Title Deed is a legal deed or document constituting evidence of a right, especially to ownership of property.
Judge Peabody ordered the clerk to communicate with the Sheriff of Court to summon the living body of VP Boakai to appear on or before April 27 to respond to the complaint filed against him.
“The clerk of this court has been ordered to summon the living body of Joseph Nyumah Boakai to respond to the complaint filed against him in this court,” the writ of summoned stated.
He furthered that failure for Mr. Boakai to appear before court on April 27,2023, default judgment will be rendered against him.
