Earth Angel’s winless run continues as Determine Girls record second league victory

Defending champions Determine Girls FC triumphed over Earth Angels at George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg

It was a clash of the century on match day two in the Orange Upper Women’s Division which remains the top tier of women’s football in Liberia.

Matchday two saw one of Liberia’s traditional female clubs, Earth Angels struggling to register their first league goal in the new season only to be dragged by defending champions Determine Girls FC at the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg.

Earth Angels FC were left licking their wounds after their defeat at the hands of Determined Girls FC.

Bountou Sylla opens the scoring in the first half to give the defending champions an early advantage.

The Guinean set up her side’s second goal when she assisted her Guinean teammate Mabinty Camara to extend Determine Girl’s lead over eye rival Earth Angels.

The presence of LFA’s best female defender, Francisca Howe in the defense of Earth Angels could not stop versatile Liberian female defender, Marthaline Moore from being on target again for Determine Girls FC recording her third league goal of the season.

The win maintains Determine Girls’ stay on the league table with six points, nine goals for, and two goals against, with the goals difference at seven just in two matches played so far.
