Eternal Word Ministries Makes Additional Donation to Redemption Hospital

MONROVIA – Redemption Hospital in the Borough of New Kru Town on the Bushrod Island has benefited additional donations of ten rechargeable fans from the Eternal Word Ministries.
In May, the Eternal Word Ministries, through its general overseers Bishop and Mrs. Opuni and the entire team, made donations of huge medical supplies that included dressings, wound care, syringes and respirators, among others to the Redemption Hospital. This decision came after the team visited the hospital and there was a power shortage, and witnessed the difficulties faced by management and patients.
Presenting the items on behalf of the ministries, a representative of the organization, Saah Kandu, said the Eternal Word Ministries has fallen in love with Liberia, especially the Redemption Hospital and has decided to identify with the institution in whatever positive way it can.
Mr. Kandu called on other charity institutions and philanthropists to take the chance to come and help in buttressing the government’s efforts.
Receiving the fans on behalf of the hospital, the Chief administrative officer, Dr. Williamatta William- Gibson, expressed thanks to the Eternal Word Ministries. Dr. Gibson called on all Liberians – both at home and abroad, to join in supporting the government’s effort.
She highlighted that the government cannot do all, but with the help of other humanitarian and philanthropic organizations “our healthcare system can be a better one for all Liberians.”
The ministry was established by Bishop Ernest Opuni and wife in the United States of America. According to officials, it was birthed as part of God’s effort to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And with God’s help, the ministry has made a great impact in the U.S., India, Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica and now Liberia.
