Heaven Eleven 1-0 NPA Anchor: Kofi’s lone goal crowned Heaven Eleven Champions of the Paynesville Cup 2023

With less than 30 days to the official kick-off of the Orange First Division 2023/2024 League Season Heaven Elven continued their preparation following their dramatic runs in the Paynesville Cup.

The Paynesville City-based Club recorded a 1-0 victory over the newly promoted Orange First Division Side NPA Anchor on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

Prince Kofi scored from a Moses Cooper set-piece inside the thirty-one minutes to put Heaven Eleven in front.

Kofi again appears to be a threatening lion inside the defense of the visitors creating more goal chances, but failed to register his second goal after being denied by the NPA Anchor goalkeeper.

However, there was drama at the very end, with NPA James Smith having the opportunity to send the match into a post-match penalty following his failure to get the equalizer in the three minutes of stoppage time.

Heaven Eleven ended their Paynesville Cup journey undefeated and recorded three wins in three matches, scoring four goals and conceding zero.

The Messengers will begin their Orange First Division League campaign on September 6, against Invincible Eleven at the ATS in Monrovia.
