International Friendly: LoneStar of Liberia faces the Pharaohs of Egypt today

Having failed to grab a win over Niger on Sunday, the LoneStar of Liberia will be eager to defeat the pharaohs of Egypt this Tuesday evening at the Borg El Arab Sports Stadium in Caro.
Liberia men’s senior national football team on Sunday played to a goalless draw against Niger in an international friendly played in Alexandria, while Egypt dumped Niger 3-0 in the first match in the best out of three battles involving Liberia, Niger, and host Egypt.

Liverpool talisman Mohammed Salah and Mustafa Mohamed both scored in the Pharaohs’ 3-0 victory over Niger on Friday at the Borg El Arab Sports Stadium in Alexandria.

Following their easy win over Niger, Egypt’s national team head coach, Roy Vitoria, has decided to rest Mo Salah, and Mustafa Mohamed for Tuesday’s friendly against Liberia, the Egyptian FA has announced late Sunday evening ahead of Liberia vs Egypt encounter.

Both Salah and Mustafa were the goal scorers in Egypt’s 3-0 win over Niger on Friday. The duos are expected to leave the team’s camp this evening.

In their previous six encounters, Egypt defeated Liberia four times, while losing twice.
Their most recent meeting occurred in an international friendly game that took place in Caro where the Pharaohs won 2-0 back in September of last year.

Egypt met Liberia for the first time in 1989 during a FIFA World Cup qualifier on January 6; the pharaohs of Egypt defeated the LoneStar of Liberia 2-0.
