Joel Johnson Lone Goal Earns Hartford First League Win of the season

Liberian International defender Joel Johnson was on target yesterday when he scored his second league goal of the season as his side Hartford Athletic grabbed a crucial 1-0 win against Loudoun United FC in the United Soccer League.

The Liberian international has played 8 league games for the club and has found the back of the net twice.

Johnson’s goal in the 41st minute was enough to secure the club’s first USL Championship win of the season at Trinity Health Stadium.

Johnson had the only goal of the game and ended the match with three shots and two chances created while winning 3 of 4 tackles and making seven recoveries.

Meanwhile, Hartford Athletic is expected to be home on Saturday, May 14th to take on the New York Red Bulls II.
