Liberia: Test Reveals Alleged Moringa is Meth, a Key Ingredient in Kush Production

MONROVIA – In a startling revelation, K-News has learned that recent tests conducted on the purportedly confiscated substance at Roberts International Airport have identified it as methamphetamine, commonly known as Meth. This revelation contradicts initial claims by investigators who believed the substance to be herbal Moringa leaves.
Methamphetamine, or Meth for short, is a potent and highly addictive stimulant that profoundly affects the central nervous system. It is also a crucial component used in the production of Kush, a cheap and harmful drug.
This unexpected turn of events coincides with an announcement made by Assistant Commissioner of Customs at the Liberia Revenue Authority, Atty. Namue Koffi, on behalf of the Joint Security. Koffi informed journalists that the ten boxes, previously seized by the Armed Forces of Liberia, actually contained a hundred packs of Moringa leaves, dispelling speculations that the boxes harbored illegal drugs. Officials even suggested that the leaves may have been imported from Kenya.
The saga began unfolding when Samuel Freeman, the Security Manager at Roberts International Airport (RIA), came under investigation for his alleged role in attempting to transport several boxes, suspected to contain contraband, directly from the airport tarmac via an unauthorized gate.
These intercepted boxes were purportedly being transported in a minibus, with Mr. Freeman accompanying them. He claimed that the consignment belonged to President George Weah’s Chief of Protocol, Ms. Nora Finda Bundo. However, when contacted by airport management, Ms. Bundo vehemently denied any knowledge of the boxes.
Mr. Freeman, present during the box opening, refuted reports that he had been arrested and placed under investigation, vehemently denying these allegations. He asserted that such reports were baseless and aimed at tarnishing his hard-earned reputation. Freeman clarified that he was not evading law enforcement and that the police had never taken him into custody.
This unforeseen twist in the ongoing saga has raised more questions than answers. Freeman’s disassociation from the smuggled items has left many perplexed. The incident prompts inquiries into who is truly responsible for these smuggled items, how Freeman became associated with the illicit substance, and why the items managed to bypass standard security checks. Calls are growing for a thorough investigation by government authorities and observers to uncover the truth behind this perplexing case.
