Liverpool 7-0 Man Utd: United Face Worst Defeats in History

Though United have struggled in away games against their rivals, many expected a close affair after their recent resurgence and the capture of a first trophy in six years.

But Jurgen Klopp’s side completed their revival with a stunning performance that was more akin to what you would expect the old Liverpool to deliver.

Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mo Salah all bagged braces before Roberto Firmino added even further humiliation as Liverpool ran riot and inflicted the heaviest defeat in this historic fixture.

Liverpool is now just three points off the Champions League places after the huge result.

As for United, they completely capitulated in the second half, conceding SIX times after being well in the game in the opening 45 minutes.

Despite their improved form, the game served as a reminder of how far United still has to go to be an elite-level team.

Many of the traveling fans left the away section prior to the final whistle and United now needs an almighty response in the coming weeks.
