Man, 34 Sent to Prison For Murdering Friend For US$30

The Monrovia City Court has sent 34-year-old Titus A. Greeves to prison for allegedly murdering his friend Francis Lamah in the Boys’ town community, Margibi County for US$30.
Defendant Greeves worked as a security guard at the Green Flower Security Firm and was arrested on December 22, 2022, after he had escaped for over a year and returned to his home in Boys Town Lower Margibi County after the noise had gone down.
According to a police investigation the murder occurred on Friday, December 16, 2021, when deceased Francis Lamah Kollie and some motorcyclists were engaged in confusion resulting in the bike riders forcibly exploring money from him (deceased).
Police investigation further revealed that the deceased while being robbed by the bike riders took his balance monies of $US30 and 600LD to defendant Greeves for safekeeping.
The investigation among other things noted that when the deceased went back for the monies which he had given to defendant Titus Greeves to keep, to his utmost surprise, he only received the LD component of the monies which was LD$600.
“When asked the deceased for his 30USD, the defendant asked him to leave the scene something which sparked up serious confusion between the both of them, that resulted to defendant Greeves stabbing the deceased in his stomach that led to his death” police revealed
Meanwhile, defendant Titus Greeves has been charged with murder in violation of Chapter 14, section 14.1 of the revised penal Code of Liberia and is pending court trial.
