Meet Momo Blamo Liberia New George Weah in the Making

From a local Community in Kakata City, Margibi County to Africa and the World at large, Momo Blamo is becoming one of the household names in Liberia and working hard to make history in football.

The lad has now been referred to by several sports lovers as the new George Weah in the making, a star to be and a gift to soccer in Margibi County.
Born in the 2000s, Blamo has become a goal machine for both his club and county.

BLAMO DAYS AT QUENCY FC

Blamo scored 17 League goals and provided Ten assists for Quincy FC in the Margibi Sub-Association Third Division League 2021/2022 Season and qualified the club to its first ever National Third Division Play-off in Buchanan.

Following his outstanding performance during the 2021/2022 National Third Division Play-off in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County, Momo Blamo got an eye-catching performance throughout the play-off scoring Six goals and providing four assists in five games.

MOVE TO TONY FC (2022)

On August 16, 2022, Momo Blamo ended his long stay at Quency FC and joined Second Division giant Tony FC for an undisclosed fee.

Blamo penned a two-year deal with the club and became one of the highest-paid players on the club.
With his brilliant attacking skills and speed, Blamo turned the Second Division league into a farmer league netting Twenty-Nine goals in Twenty-Five league goals and becoming the first player in the history of football in Liberia to score more than Twenty-Eight goals in his debut season.

BLAMO ‘s COUNTY MEET EXPERIENCE

Blamo made his County Meet debut in December 2017, against Lofa County at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.

Following his introduction to the nation’s biggest sports festival, Momo Blamo has managed to register Eight goals and Nine assists in his five years appearance bringing his goal contribution to 17 in the competition.

Since his debut season, Blamo has won three third-place medals and a second-place medal all with Margibi County.

Blamo played his first County meet final in 2019 against Bomi County at the Samuel Kayon Doe Sports Stadium.

FIRST CALL TO THE NATIONAL TEAM

On June 24, 2023, Momo Blamo received his first invitation to the national team of Liberia comprising local players that will represent Liberia at the 2023 /2024 CHAN qualifiers.

The invite by Coach Ansu Keita is a dream start for the young Blamo who is a spectacular playmaker and will be a huge task for the Margibi County frontman in making it into Coach Keita’s system.
