MOE Cautions School Administrators Against Skyrocketing Graduation Fees

Director of Communication, Maxime Bleetahn

PAYNESVILLE- The Ministry of Education through its Director of Communication, Maxim Bleetan has cautioned school administrators against skyrocketing graduation fees as they await this year’s results for the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) for graduation.

Mr. Bleetahn said the move by school authorities is only intended to exploit struggling parents striving to educate their children. He said, there is no policy at the ministry that supports the abrupt increase in graduation fees.

Meanwhile, MOE has condemned the act and urged private and public schools to refrain from exploiting parents or face the law.

The Ministry called on parents to report any school found intentionally disregarding the Ministry’s policy on graduation fees.
