
Nimba County 3-2 Lofa, Defending Champion Retains County Meet Title
Nimba County on Sunday defeated Lofa County 3-2 to retain its ‘Defending Champion, a title they won on January 13, 2022, against Gbarpolu County.
Pascal Harris opened the scoring for Lofa County in the eighteenth minute to put Lofa County ahead but Emmanuel Sieh got the equalizer when Lofa County defender Pascal Harris fall and Sieh collected the ball and send in a right-footed strike beating goalkeeper Vinah Smith.
Nimba took the lead for the first time when sixteen years old Emmanuel Siah headed a throw from Aliji Samuka in the thirty-three minutes.
Marlu Johnson extended Nimba County’s lead in the fifty-three minutes to make it 3-1 but a cancellation goal from Lofa County frontman James Tarpeh in the Seventy-nine minutes ended the match 3-2 in favor of the defending champions.
