Orange National First Division League Match-Day-One Round-Up, Results and Standing

The Orange first division 2023/24 League Season match-day one came to an end on Sunday evening September 10, 2023, with three exciting matches across three major venues in Liberia.
MIGHTY BARROLLE (2-0) FREEPORT FC
In Buchanan City, Mighty Barrolle one of Liberia’s traditional clubs known as “The Rollers” recorded a dramatic 2-0 victory over Freeport FC at the Dorris Williams Sports Stadium. Second-half goals from Nuch Zohn and Clement Zubah were enough to give Mighty Barrolle a comfortable home victory.
Mighty Barrolle will be away to Global Pharma over the weekend while Freeport FC will welcome league leader Heaven Eleven FC on Saturday at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville.
NIMBA KWADO (1-0) CECE UNITED
Nimba Kwado for the first time recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Cece United on their home soil on match-day one.
Kwado has failed to get a win during their opening fixtures while playing at home. The bad record came to an end on Sunday after they collected a 1-0 win over CeCe United.
All thanks to Alloy Brown’s first-half penalty goal that separated the two sides after the full-time whistle at the Tomah Seh Floyd Stadium.
Nimba Kwado will be away to Invincible Eleven over the weekend while Cece United will be at home to FC Kallon Liberia this weekend.
WATANGA (2-0) GLOBAL PHARMA
In Paynesville City, Watanga FC welcomed newly promoted Global Pharma with a solid 2-0 victory over the pharmacy boys at the SKDPP in Paynesville.
Emmanuel Sieh registered two goals on his league debut with the Paynesville giant. His two goals inside the first thirty minutes were enough to record Watanga their first win in four matches across all competitions.
Watanga will be away to Paynesville FC on Saturday at the SKD practice pitch in the most talked about Paynesville City Derby while Global Pharma will be at home to Mighty Barrolle.
HEAVEN ELEVEN (4-2) IE
On September 6, 2023, Heaven Eleven kicked off their league season with an easy 4-2 victory over Invincible Eleven at the famous Samuel Kayon Doe Sports Stadium in Paynesville City.
Captain Glay scored from inside his half to open the scoring for the home side to put Heaven Eleven ahead of Invincible Eleven. Two goals for new boy Fred Livingstone and a late goal for debutant Nicholas Andrews were enough to give the Messengers their first win of the season.
Heaven Eleven will be away to Freeport FC on Saturday as they go in search of another victory while Invincible Eleven will welcome Nimba Kwado FC at the ATS.
LISCR FC (2-0) NPA ANCHORS
Defending Champions began their title defense with a comfortable 2-0 home victory over newcomers NPA Anchors on September 6, at the Tusa Field.
Chris Sergbeh scored inside the first Fifteen minutes to put LISCR FC ahead of NPA Anchors. Sheku Sheriff scored from a set piece to double LISCR FC’s lead in the Seventy-six minutes.
LISCR FC will be at home to Bea Mountain on Friday at the ATS in Monrovia while NPA Anchors will welcome LPRC Oilers at the Tusa Field on Saturday.
BEA MOUNTAIN (1-1) PAYNESVILLE FC
Newcomers Paynesville FC were held to a one-all draw by last season’s runners-up Bea Mountain on Wednesday evening at the Samuel Kayon Doe Sports Stadium.
H. Dan Weah scored Paynesville FC’s first league goal in the Orange First Division league in the Seventeen minutes of play but a cancellation goal from Bea Mountain in the second half denied the Vocker Mission Boys from getting a win on their league debut.
Paynesville FC will be at home to Watanga FC on Saturday at the SKD practice pitch in the most talked about Paynesville City Derby while Bea Mountain will be at away to LISCR FC.
FC KALLON LIB (1-1) LPRC OILERS
FC Kallon Liberia formerly Muscat FC was held to a one-all draw by former League Champions LPRC Oilers at the SKDPP on Saturday afternoon.
FC Kallon Liberia will be away to CeCe United over the weekend while LPRC Oilers will be away to NPA Anchors.
MATCH DAY ONE ANALYSIS
Match Day One recorded five wins two draws and five defeats.
There were wins for Heaven Eleven, LISCR FC, Watanga FC, Mighty Barrolle, and Nimba Kwado.
On the other hand, there were defeats for Freeport FC, Invincible Eleven, Cece United, NPA Anchors, and Global Pharma.
A total of Seventeen league goals were scored in Seven League games on match-da-one. Heaven Eleven scored the highest amount of goals as a club, the Messengers scored four goals, making them the highest goals-scoring team on match day one.
Invincible Eleven conceded the highest amount of goals on match day one of the Orange First Division League Season.
