Paynesville FC to Host Second Pre-Season Tournament Ahead of New League Season

Ahead of the 2023/2024 National First Division League season, newly promoted Orange first division side Paynesville FC is expected to on this August host its second pre-season football jamboree featuring eight teams in a mouthwatering encounter.
The upcoming Paynesville Football Jamboree will take place from the 2nd of August to the 7th at the famous open-air SKD Practice pitch in Paynesville.
Speaking to reporters, the President of Paynesville FC, Mr Hilary Sackie says the aim of the pre-season tournament is at branding the image of the club as well as preparing the club ahead for the new league season.
The first winner will pocket one hundred Thousand Liberian Dollars and medals while the second winner will walk away with the sum of fifty thousand Liberian Dollars. On the flip side, the third-place winner will chop the sum of twenty-five thousand Liberian Dollars including other individual awards.
According to the President, teams that will be participating in this year’s tournament have been finalized by the organizing committee, the include, hosts Paynesville FC, Heaven Eleven FC, FC Gar’ou, and Global Pharma FC.
Others are FREDO FC from Sierra Leone, NPA Anchors, Brewerville United FC, and Discoveries Sports Association.
Watanga FC and Muscat Football Club which are based in Paynesville base Club will not participate in the tournament.
They were invited but wrote an excuse letter that they will not participate in the Paynesville Cup because they will be participating in another pre-season tournament comes August.
