Red Hill Residents Pledge Support to Rep. Jimmy Smith’s Reelection

Red Hill, Paynesville- Several residents of the red hill community in Montserrado District #2 have petitioned incumbent lawmaker, Jimmy Smith to contest in the pending elections scheduled for October 10 this year.
In their petition statement over the weekend, the group of citizens in support of Rep. Jimmy Smith’s reelection highlighted his continued advocacy, development through electricity, and the provision of microloans to women’s groups among others as things that are worth his reelection.
The petition signed by elders, youth leaders, and women heads promised to campaign for Rep. Smith to ensure he is elected.
Excerpt from the petition: “our petition for yoir reelection bid is based on the followinp: Your unwavering financial and moral support in almost all of our undertaking, specifically your stand with us in our legal battle against some unscrupulous land claimants, who are claiming the entire district two and beyond. Your Financial intervention, empowering the Red Hill women with the cash amount of LD 1m during the COVID Crisis, among others”.
“As we have called upon you today to fearlessly contest these forth coming elections,
may the ballot box be our witness that we shall stand by you, with you and for you until
the victory bell is rang” they added.
Receiving the petition, the former CDC lawmaker promised to continue his work to ensure a better living environment for residents of the area.
Rep. Jimmy Smith warned residents to be careful with self-seeking aspirants in the pending elections.
