Shaita Angels’ VP Benita Urey Pays Tribute to Fallen LFA Technical Director Henry Browne

Taking to her Facebook page, Miss Urey credited the late LFA Technical Director for introducing her to football and described his demise as a “massive loss”.

Shaita Angels Vice President Ms. Benita Urey has paid homage to the fallen Technical Director of the Liberia Football Association and former Goalkeeper of Invincible Eleven (IE), Henry Browne.

On Tuesday afternoon the death news of former Invincible Eleven Goalkeeper Henry Browne spread like a wide fire leaving many sports lovers in shock.

Browne served as a Technical Director at the Liberia Football Association for many years before his demise on Tuesday July 11.

He was a former goalkeeper for Invincible Eleven (I.E) in the 1980s, contributing to the success of the club.

The Liberia Football Association announced the death of its Technical Director via their official Facebook page after confirming that Mr. Browne died at the Gateway Clinic in Congo Town.

“The Liberia Football Association announces, with profound regret, the death of technical director Henry N. Browne.”

“Browne died at the Gateway Clinic in Congo Town on 11 July.

May God grant Browne and all faithful departed eternal rest, amen.

“What a massive loss. Rest in peace Mr. Browne. The man that brought me into football. The man that started Shaita Angels Football Club. The first man to believe in me in football. One of the best coaches Liberia has seen. What?? I am at a loss for words. Rest in peace to the Liberia Football Association Technical Director.”
