Taylor Swift becomes first Artist to claim entire Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100

American Pop star Taylor Swift made history in the entertainment world after her songs from her latest album take the ten top spots of Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Billboard Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by Billboard magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales, radio play, and online streaming in the United States.
Taylor Swift scored a 10 out of 10 to become the first artist in history to claim the Top 10 slots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US, with tracks from her latest album, Midnights.
Billboard reported on Monday that Swift has surpassed Drake, who had held the previous record with nine of the Top 10 songs for a week in September 2021.
“10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES,” the 32-year-old pop star tweeted.
It’s the first time in history that an artist has achieved this feat, but there appear to be plenty of more accolades to follow suit as the album “Midnights” continues to conquer iTunes and Spotify charts.
Furthermore, the first-week sales of Swift’s newest project make her the only artist in history to sell at least a million copies in a single week on five different occasions (five albums).

And if that wasn’t enough, the Anti-Hero singer has also secured herself the third-largest streaming week for an album, accumulating over 545 million streams in its first seven days after release. While some would argue that people don’t buy albums the way that they used to, Swift’s fans would clearly disagree.
Despite the album’s success, the former country singer and eleventh-time grammy winner did receive a lot of backlashes after releasing the music video for her song, “Anti-Hero,” which initially included a scene where Swift stands on a weighing scale as she watched the scale move upwards to the word “fat.”
People on social media had urged Swift to edit the video, calling the scene “triggering” and “fat-shaming” her fans who may struggle with eating disorders. The following day, Apple Music and YouTube both redacted the video and replaced it with an edited version that had taken out the “offensive” word.
“Taylor changed her ‘Anti-Hero’ music video on apple music and it doesn’t directly show the word [fat] on the scale. So glad she listened to criticism,” one person wrote on social media after noticing the music video had been updated.
