Watanga’s Farsedu Logan named Captain of Liberia Local based squad ahead of CHAN qualifier

Orange First Division National League Side Watanga Football Club Playmaker Farsedu Logan will lead Lonestar home-based National Team in their journey to qualify for the 2024 African Nations Championship and will be assisted by LISCR striker Christopher Jackson.

Coach Keita made the nomination on Tuesday at the third training session of the local base national team at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville.

On Tuesday, July 4, the home-based LoneStar team conducted its third training session at the SKD practice pitch in Paynesville City in preparation for the upcoming CHAN qualifiers slated for this month.

“It is a privilege to be named captain of the home-based national team,” Said Logan.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has already planned on preparing for CHAN 2024.
This competition, which concerns only local players, is one of the most important tournaments on the continent.

If the name of the host country is not yet known, the schedule for the playoffs has already been established.
According to this website, the playoffs will take place in two phases.

Qualifying Schedule

First round:  From July 28 to 30 for the first leg and from August 4 to 6 for the return leg.

Second round:  From September 1 to 3 for the first leg and from September 22 to 24 for the return leg.
