Motorcycle Rider Caught Smuggling Narcotics in Quaker Oats Packs
Greenville, Sinoe County – On November 17, 2024, at approximately 6:30 PM, the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) acted on a credible tip-off and apprehended a motorcycle rider suspected of transporting concealed narcotics. The rider, identified as J. Sylvester Wleh, a resident of Sinoe County, was traveling from Grand Bassa County with assorted packages, including boxes of Quaker Oats, which later revealed concealed illicit substances.

Swift action by the LDEA Jacksonville Commander and team led to the interception of the suspect on November 18, 2024, around 11:15 AM. Wleh was immediately brought to Greenville for further investigation. A meticulous search of his cargo uncovered various illegal substances hidden inside the Quaker Oats packets.
During the probe, Wleh reportedly contacted the owner of the packages, Regina Broh, a 24-year-old resident of Greenville City, Sinoe County. Broh was subsequently arrested and is now in custody for questioning.
She is expected to face charges under Liberia’s drug trafficking laws.

1. 200 grams of precursor chemicals

3. 30 grams of suspected cocaine powder – Valued at $1,800 USD (342,000 LRD)
4. One box of Tramadol (10x10 tablets) – Valued at 15,000 LRD
Total value: $8,700 USD (1,478,000 LRD at an exchange rate of 190 LRD to 1 USD).
