“THE YOUNG PEOPLE WILL DANCE OVER BOAKAI’S BODY” CDC YOUTH CHAIR ISSUES GRAVE WARNING OVER ARRESTED YOUTH LEADER

Monrovia, Liberia: CDC National Youth League Chairman Emmanuel Mulbah Johnson has sounded a grave and direct threat against President Joseph Nyemah Boakai, declaring that “the young people will dance over Boakai’s body” if the government continues to allegedly target and endanger members of the opposition. His fiery outburst follows the controversial arrest of CDC Montserrado County District 16 youth leader John Nyantee by the Liberia National Police.

Speaking to a crowd of energized party youth, Chairman Johnson warned that the CDC will not tolerate the Boakai administration’s alleged plot to silence opposition figures. “We are not scared of President Boakai and his repressive tactics. Any attempt to harm those who stand for the truth, the young people of this country will dance over his body,” Johnson stated.

According to credible information gathered from the sisters by K-NEWS, John Nyantee was allegedly promised US$50,000 by individuals within the government to return to Liberia and serve as a state witness in a politically sensitive case. He was reportedly told that his wife and children would be flown to Europe for their safety, but failure to cooperate could cost him his life.

Nyantee, who fled to Ghana after being accused in connection with the December 18,2024 burning of the Capitol Building in Monrovia, returned to Liberia under pressure from his brother, Edward Koffa Nyantee popularly known as Alpha Keita who was said to be acting on behalf of the state. However, instead of protection, Nyantee was reportedly detained upon arrival.

Sources confirm that Nyantee was initially confined at Life Style Hotel in Thinkers Village under discreet surveillance before being transferred to the Liberia National Police Headquarters in Monrovia, where he is believed to still be held without due process.

“This regime is tricking, trapping, and torturing people under the name of justice,” Johnson alleged. “You told the man to come home, offered him money and safety for his family, and then locked him up like a criminal. What kind of leadership is this?”

The CDC youth leader did not hold back in his attack on the Liberia National Police, describing the Inspector General as a “killer in uniform.” He said the police have abandoned their professional duties and are now operating as political enforcers for President Boakai’s government. “The police are no longer protecting Liberians. They’re hunting opposition youth like animals Gregory Coleman is a murderer,” he said.

Johnson further threatened that any future attempt by the government to suppress protest actions by the CDC would be fiercely resisted. “We will not sit quietly. If you fire rubber bullets, we’ll respond with our strength.”

He concluded by accusing President Boakai of pretending to lead a peaceful government while allegedly orchestrating political imprisonment and repression. “He claims to be a unifier, but his actions show he’s a divider. Liberia deserves better than this hypocrisy and tyranny,” Johnson said.

So far, there has been no official response from the Boakai administration or the Liberia National Police concerning Nyantee’s arrest or Johnson’s serious threats.
