Police Dispute Over Chicken Foot Turns Violent, Leaves One Officer Seriously Injured
Nimba County – An altercation between two police officers over a piece of chicken foot has left one officer with severe injuries.
The incident occurred when Patrolman Elton Bahn questioned Officer Jeremiah Takpor over what he described as "greedy eating" during a shared meal.
According to witnesses, the fight escalated after Patrolman Bahn snatched the last piece of chicken foot from Officer Takpor’s hand, leading to an exchange of insults and a violent confrontation.
The altercation resulted in Patrolman Bahn suffering a broken spinal cord and other injuries.
He was quickly transported to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia for emergency treatment.
Due to the severity of his condition, authorities are considering transferring him to India for advanced medical care.
Officer Takpor has been taken into custody at the Liberia National Police headquarters for questioning, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
