Bellingham Names La Liga Player of the Year in Debut Season

On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, La Liga officially presented several individual awards to outstanding players and coaches from the just-ended 2023-2024 season.

Among those, was Jude Bellingham, the 20-year-old English Midfielder who was presented with the Most Valuable Player of the Year award in his debut season at Real Madrid.

The younger star scored 19 goals and contributed 6 assists for the Los Blancos and helped Real Madrid to win the 2023-2024 La Liga championship.

Bellingham took a transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid in 2023 in a deal that cost over 100m Euros and has been very instrumental for his side.

The prestigious award has also solidified the Englishman's standing among contenders in the race for the Ballon d'Or and FIFA "The Best" pending awards, as he looks up for the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday, June 1 against former Club Borussia Dortmund.
