De Bruyne Bids Farewell at Etihad After A Decade with City

Kelvin De Bruyne, a prolific long-stay midfielder at Manchester City, today bid his farewell to the club in their 3-1 victory match against Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium.
The Belgian international was honored through a colorful ceremony in his last home game for City against Bournemouth on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, setting the pace for his departure after 10 years hustling for City.
The 33-year-old has already announced he will leave Manchester City for a new journey after his contract expires at the end of the current season - 2024/2025.
Kelvin De Bruyne won 16 trophies with City, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2023, since joining the club from Wolfsburg in 2015.
City's fans during De Bruyne's final home game unveiled a giant-size banner hailing him as 'King Kev.'
De Bruyne said: “I want to bring joy to people, play offensive football, be creative and have fun".
“I think we had a lot of fun in these 10 years, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. I think we created something incredible to make this club better than where it was before," he concluded.
