FC Fassell is on track to compete for the LFA First Division Championship this season

Monrovia, Liberia: FC Fassell, the current league leaders in the Liberia Football Association First Division, remains determined to maintain their impressive performance as they pursue the championship title this season.
The Soccer Missionaries secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Black Man Warriors on Sunday, February 16, at the Tusa Sports Pitch, extending their lead to 37 points on the league table.
This crucial win, thanks to goals from Amos Diamagyie and Ezekiel Koon, has eased the pressure on FC Fassell at the top of the table, now sitting six points clear of their closest rivals, Discoveries FC.
The victory on matchday 17 has boosted FC Fassell's hopes of claiming the championship crown this season. Discoveries FC, who are their closest competitors, drew with Watanga FC on the same day, increasing the gap from four to six points behind FC Fassell.
Coach Ivan Minnaert’s side remains optimistic about finishing at the top of the First Division table with just nine games remaining in the 2024-2025 season.
So far, the club has played 17 matches, winning 11, drawing 4, and losing 2. Their current statistics reflect the best performance in the First Division League after 17 rounds of matches.
As the race for the championship title continues, several clubs are not backing down, putting significant pressure on FC Fassell. Discoveries FC, Heaven Eleven, Paynesville FC, and BEA Mountain are all challenging for the top position.
Sports analysts believe that a six-point lead is not sufficient for FC Fassell. The current league leaders have slipped from the top spot three times, but each time they were able to reclaim their position.
With 17 matches left to conclude the season, every club is working tirelessly towards the championship title, making FC Fassell the primary target for all teams.
