Report says the baby was raped by two 8 year old children a close relatives the victim.

According to eyewitnesses, the mother of the infant left the child with her grandma and went to school when the other children took advantage of the infant.

Sources added that the grandma, in the absence of the baby's mother, left the infant in the care of the two 8-year-old boys to go to her farm, adding that while the child was left with the two 8-year-old children, she began to cry. Attempting to pet the child, the two boys took the baby under a breadfruit tree, close to the home, but the child continued to cry.

Sources further narrated that when the two 8-year-olds returned with the child from the breadfruit tree, they had taken off her diaper, at which time another relative, a son believed to be 16 years old, took the child from the two 8-year-old boys to bathe her.

They said after bathing the child, she was given to the two 8-year-old boys, who took her in the room to pet her to sleep while they were in the room. She kept on crying, something that raised further concerns for the 16-year-old boy, and requested that the child be brought outside.

According to eyewitnesses, when the child was brought outside, it was noted that the child was bleeding between her legs, something that raised further concerns and prompted the 16-year-old to call the attention of nearby neighbors.

In the process, the mother of the return home, with growing concern, rushed the child to the nearby health center in Juarzon, but health workers referred her to Greenville for medical attention.

As a follow-up on the incident, the officer in charge of the FJ Graint Hospital, Zubah Zawu, confirmed that the infant was barely wrapped, according to the medical report.

The OIC at the FJ Graint further states that the survivability of the child cannot be determined till further treatment is administered.

Meanwhile, police in at the Juarzon Bilibokree checkpoint have taken siege of the matter while family members are pleading for compromise as they pray for the child to survive.
