BREAKING NEWS: Liberia Records 102 Mpox Cases, Zero Deaths – NPHIL Boss Confirms

Monrovia, Liberia: has recorded a total of 102 Mpox cases between January 2024 and May 22, 2025, with 77 recoveries and 25 active cases currently receiving treatment, according to Dr. Chris Dugbeh Nyan, Director-General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL).

No deaths have been reported in Liberia during this period.

In contrast, neighboring Sierra Leone is facing a more serious outbreak, with 1,904 active Mpox cases and 14 deaths confirmed.
