Determine Girls Booked Crucial Win Over League Rivals Shaita Angels

Liberia: Determine Girls continued their impressive run in the LFA Upper Women's League on Wednesday, December 18, with a narrow 1-0 win against league rivals Shaita Angels.

The defending champions capitalized on a lone goal from Decontee Jackson in the first half in a highly contested match against closed rivals Shaita Angels at the Tusa Football Field in Gardernsville.

The win has extended Determine Girls' lead to 30 points on the LFA Upper Women's League table. The club has maintained a hundred percent stats in 10 league games this season. The defending champions have played 10 games so far, winning all.

The latest win against rivals Shaita Angels has eased Determine Girls' pressure on the league table, sitting 5 points cleared over second-placed contenders Ravia Angels with 27 points and 7 points difference to Shaita Angels with 23 points who have been pushed to 3rd place.

The 2024-2025 LFA Upper Women's League from the early start saw a huge contest between defending champions Determine Girls and Shaita Angels going back and forth on the league table with equal points until a few slips from Shaita Angels and their recent defeat in matchday 10 to Determine Girls.

As the championship race heats up, Shaita Angels now have failed to pull a win in their last three league games. The club drew goalless to Kneeling Warriors and Bushord Queens and conceded to the league leaders (Determine Girls).

However, sports pundits believe the race for the championship title still remains contentious as Ravia Angels have surfaced between the two clubs in the second place to highly push for the crown.
