Rep. Yekeh Kolubah Requests Plenary To Summon LBS DG Eugene Fahngon over CDC Appearance Denial

Controversial Montserrado County District #10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah has written the plenary of the House of Representatives to summon the Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System Mr. Eugene Fahngon for denying the opposition Congress for Democratic Change air time on the State Run Media Institution.
In his communication a copy of which is in the possession of Spoon Tv, the government’s fierce critic is quoted as saying according to Article 15(d) of the Constitution of Liberia, access to state owned media shall not be denied because of any disagreement with or dislike of the ideas expressed.”
Lawmaker intimidated that the denial of the opposition Party is a complete violation of the constitution and a means to silence critical voices especially the opposition community.
The District 10 Representative is craving the indulgence of the House of Representatives to summon LBS Director General Mr. Eugene Fahngon answered why CDC was denied usage of the government run media.
His communication comes barely 24 hours after the opposition Congress for Democratic Change or CDC has accused the government of Liberia through the Liberia Broadcasting System LBS of denying its usage of the State Run Radio Station.
The Director General of LBS Mr. Eugene Fahngon has since alluded to denying the CDC on grounds that the CDC jingle was all about militancy.
The CDC has announced June 28-30th 2024 as days for the celebration of supporters, Militants and Leaders of the Party. The CDC several activities including Lulu games, checkers, football matches will commemorate the days.
