UBA Hosts Liberian President Joseph Nyumah Boakai at New York Cocktail Event

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) hosted His Excellency, Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, as the special guest of honor at a high-profile cocktail event in New York. The gathering took place following the conclusion of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Heads of States summit.

The event was led by UBA Group Chairman, Mr. Tony Elumelu, and saw the attendance of several top UBA executives, including Group Managing Director Mr. Oliver Alawuba, CEO of UBA Africa Madam Abiola Bayuwah, UBA Liberia Board Chairman Mr. Ebele Ogbue, and UBA Liberia’s MD/CEO Mr. Ayokunle Olajubu, among other distinguished guests.

The occasion, which followed UBA’s 75th-anniversary celebrations globally, provided a platform to strengthen relationships between UBA and the government of Liberia, emphasizing the bank’s commitment to supporting Liberia’s economic development.
