Woman Over 60 years Allegedly Gang Raped to Death

Lower Margibi County: An elderly woman believed to be in her late 60s was discovered dead in Dolo Town with several used condoms around her body.

The lifeless body of Armaline Zubah was discovered in an open area in Dolo Town, Lower Margibi County with more than three used condoms surrounding her body, something believe to be a gang-raped.

Cecelia Reeves, a resident close to the scene, told our correspondent that she saw the lady early Monday morning near her house.

"This morning I never woke up soon, so I came outside with the chamber (Urine Bucket), I stood here and shouted oh da someone body lay na bring here so oo" Cecelia Reeves narrates.

"Ma. Mary was naked with only black blouse on the top of her lifeless body her  but her private part was swollen up with several packs of already used used condoms around her, but she was breathing small small so I called the town people ", she narrated.

Armaline Zubah popularly know as Ma. Mary was a resident of Bassa Community, Dolo Town, Lower Margibi County.

After examination, medical personnels at the Dolo Town Comprehensive Health Center reported that the late Ma Mary died about 6:35 AM, Monday, June 3, 2024.

Family members and residents of Dolo Town are calling on the Government to investigate the death of the about 60 year old woman and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. 

The Crime Investigation Department of the LNP has turned the body over to family for burial while the search for the perpetrators continues.
