“Yekeh Will Cuss Us Again If We Return to Power, He’s Not a Good Person , He Cussed Weah’s Mother” CDcians
Some Supporters Reject Yekeh Kolubah’s Presence Over Past abuses towards CDC Authorities.

Monrovia, Liberia: Representative Yekeh Kolubah’s recent visit to the headquarters of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has stirred controversy among party supporters, with reactions ranging from warm acceptance to outright rejection.
The visit, which appeared to signal a potential thaw in relations between Rep. Kolubah and the CDC, was met with significant resistance from a segment of the party’s base. Many CDC supporters voiced strong disapproval, citing the lawmaker’s previous outspoken criticisms of the party and its leadership during the 2023 general elections.
Rep. Kolubah, a known critic of the former CDC-led administration, frequently condemned the governance style of then-President George Weah and Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor. His public statements during the campaign period, often marked by sharp language, are viewed by some CDCians as contributing to the party’s electoral defeat.
“Yekeh will insult us again if we return to power,” one visibly upset supporter said. “He disrespected President Weah, Vice President Jewel, and other senior officials. We don’t want him around.”
Despite the backlash, other CDC members warmly welcomed Rep. Kolubah to the party headquarters, viewing his presence as a sign of political reconciliation. Supporters from this camp praised the moment as an opportunity for healing and unity among opposition figures and former rivals.
Rep. Kolubah has long been recognized as one of the fiercest critics of the Weah administration, often using his platform to highlight issues of governance and accountability.
Representative Yekeh Kolubah was indeed one of the most vocal and persistent critics of former President George Weah’s government. Throughout Weah’s administration, Kolubah used both legislative platforms and public rallies to highlight what he saw as corruption, misgovernance, and human rights abuses under the CDC-led government.
He frequently accused the Weah administration of failing to deliver on its promises and mismanaging public funds. His criticisms were often direct and unfiltered, earning him both strong support from some sections of the public and significant backlash from CDC loyalists.
Kolubah’s outspokenness also led to several clashes with security forces and threats of legal action, further fueling his image as a fierce opposition figure during Weah’s tenure.
