Bility's New Citizens Movement for Change Party Endorsed Gblinwon as its candidate in Nimba Senatorial By-election

Monrovia, Liberia: The Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), a newly formed political party, has officially named former Nimba County Inspector B. Mack Gblinwon as its featured candidate in the highly anticipated Nimba County Senatorial by-election.

Speaking at a press conference held in Nimba County on March 8, 2025, CMC founder and political leader, Representative Musa H. Bility, emphasized that the decision to endorse Gblinwon is based on his distinct leadership role over the years while serving as Inspector of Nimba County.

He believes that electing Gblinwon to the Senate will motivate him to continue the important community services he has initiated over the years.

Representative Bility noted that Nimba, as the second most populated political sub-division in Liberia, deserves a leader like Mack Gblinwon, who he believes will advocate for the county's agenda in the Senate.

The Nimba County Electoral District Number 7 policymaker further indicated that CMC will campaign in all districts of the county to ensure that the former County Inspector of Nimba emerges as the winner in the upcoming by-election.

The CMC political leader also took the opportunity to urge the citizens of the county and party members to join the team in supporting the political agenda of the senatorial aspirant.

Meanwhile, Gblinwon accepted the endorsement and expressed his gratitude to Representative Bility and CMC members for their confidence in him. He called for collective teamwork to secure victory in the upcoming election.

He is among several individuals who have expressed their intention to contest in the upcoming senatorial by-election in Nimba County.

The vacancy for the by-election was announced by the National Elections Commission following the death of the late Nimba County Senator, Prince Yormie Johnson.
