Appointments That Could Cripple Unity Party Govt. From Day #1

Monrovia: The Unity Party government is running a mock with the kind of news flowing out of the party and government during this period of appointments, where the Grass Root Development Movement (GDM) Who have shown maturity all along and went through so much to guarantee the 2nd round victory of President Joseph Boakai's Victory on the ticket of the Unity Party is heard to be very unhappy with the ways and manner through which appointment into government have been made.

It was reported from day one that the vice President had a clear discussion on how the sharing of appointments would have been done, even the President made it clear that there would be frank discussions, yet during this period of appointments, there has been no such discussion and appointments. All has been made purely on favoritism and interest, which have drawn the anger of these major parties who sacrificed everything, including huge financial inducement to endorse the Unity Party lead political agenda in the 2nd round of the elections last year.

It can be recalled that GDM came 3rd and had frenzy all over the place, as it related to where and who the party leadership and standard bearer would endorse.

It is rumored that the Party requested directly from the President of Liberia, the Ministries of Commerce and that of Transport. Today, the ministries are in the hands of the party chairman and the brother of Alex Tyler without any one communicating words to the party leadership.

ALCOP have also gone bitter with the kind of appointments given them thus far.

From all indications, CDC did better than what UP began doing from the word Go. This simply means the 1st term ticket of President Boakai seems to be in the ditch before the government even kicks off to administer the state. Lessons from the past have not in any way come to bear in the new dispensation at all.

It is now the Senate!
