Linda Thomas Greenfield leads five-member delegation to represent The White House at Liberia's Inaugural Program

RIA, Margibi: Madam Linda Thomas Greenfield leads a five member delegation to represent the White House at the inaugural program of  president -elect, Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

An awesome welcoming performance was carried out by Liberia'a culture crew headed by cultural Ambassador Juli Endee.

Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Liberia's Foreign Affairs Minister received the US delegation at the Roberts International Airport on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

President George Weah who was inaugurated as Liberia's president in January of 2018 will on Monday, January 22, 2024 turn power over to Mr. Joseph Boakai as the result of the November 14 runoff election.

President Weah was defeated by former Vice President Joseph Boakai in a tightly race that went for a runoff in which Liberians ( majority) chose Boakai.

Members of the US Presidential Delegation include:

Madam Linda Thomas Greenfield, Ms. Catherine Rodriguez, Chargé d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy Monrovia, Mr. Stephen K. Benjamin, Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor to the President and Director of the Office of Public Engagement,  Hon.  Isobel Coleman, Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development and Honorable Judd Devermont, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs, National Security Council.

Madam Linda Thomas Greenfield and delegate members will form part of the Monday's Inauguration ceremony of President-elect Amb Joseph Nyuma Boakai and Vice President-elect Jeremiah K. Koon.
