Liberian Senate Employees Receive New Buses following long Transportation Crisis

By: William McGill
Capitol Hill: Employees of the Liberian Senate have received a donation of two new buses, delivered on July 11, 2024, at the grounds of Capitol Building.
For the past six years, Senate employees have had to find their own transportation to work due to a lack of available buses.
The arrival of the buses was met with cheers and songs of praise from the employees, expressing their gratitude to the current Senate leadership, headed by Grand Bassa County Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence.
This marks a major improvement from the previous six years leadership of Former Senate Protem Albert Chie, during which numerous protests were held by employees demanding transportation and other benefits.
