LNP ChargesOfficer Ishmael Talawally for Wrongfully Discharging Firearm

Capitol Hill: The Liberia National Police (LNP) has dismissed and charged Officer Ishmeal Talawally for the alleged shooting and killing of a fifteen-year-old boy in ELWA on July 1, 2024.

During a press conference on Thursday, July 11, 2024, Police Inspector General Gregory Colman informed journalists that the LNP supports the recommendations of the Professional Standards Division. 

Consequently, Talawally will face the necessary legal consequences for his actions.

Talawally, who was dismissed for wrongfully discharging his firearm, will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division and subsequently to court for trial.
