CDC Criticizes Senator Pennue's Supportive Stance on Boakai Administration For Roads Infrastructure"

Monrovia Capitol Hill-Several individuals from CDC (Congress for Democratic Change) have begun to criticize Grand Gedeh County Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue for allegedly using flattering language to curry favor with President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

On July 17, 2024, Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue addressed journalists at his Capitol Building office, commending President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for his achievements in the first seven months of his term, especially in improving the country's road infrastructure.

Pennue stated, "The people of Grand Gedeh County have encouraged me to support any agreement involving yellow machines, even in my dreams.

"The current road conditions are markedly better, even during the rainy season, which has contributed to more reasonable prices of goods in our county," remarked Senator Pennue, crediting President Boakai and the Ministry of Public Works for these improvements" he said.

Senator Pennue emphasized the potential impact of such equipment on improving infrastructure.

Despite there being no current agreement before the legislature, Senator Pennue revealed that he felt a divine instruction from the people of Grand Gedeh County in a dream, urging him to back any forthcoming yellow machines agreement.

He expressed confidence that the arrival of these machines would significantly enhance road conditions across Liberia, particularly in regions facing severe infrastructural challenges.

As a member of the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and a prominent figure in the Liberian Senate, Senator Pennue lauded the efforts of the Unity Party-led government under President Joseph Boakai.

He commended the administration's commitment to maintaining and improving road corridors within the South-East, highlighting the tangible progress made compared to previous governments.

He attributed these improvements to the collaborative efforts of President Boakai and the dedicated team at the Ministry of Public Works.

With all of these Prasis, Cdcians are heavily lashing at the Grand Gedeh County Senator for what they term as Sugar Coating himself to gain favor for President.

Cdcians aserts that During the previous administration of former President George Weah, he didn't have any dream of what the people needed him to support in the national legislature. However, he now has a clear dream of what the people want him to support in the current regime.

This shift in stance, especially as a CDC member, is noteworthy given the rarity of such actions among opposition figures during former President Weah's term. Under Weah, positive developments were unjustly criticized by the opposition senators and representatives, exemplified by the dismissal of several projects that were implemented by the Weah administration.

Senator Pennue's advocacy accoding to Cdcians for the current administration, despite his opposition ties, merits recognition.

Pennue, a prominent figure in the Liberian Senate and a former member of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), praised the efforts of the Unity Party-led government under President Joseph Boakai. He commended the administration's dedication to enhancing road corridors in the South-East, noting substantial progress compared to previous
