Senegalese Wins $USD5, 000 Africa Tour 2024 Surfing Competition

A Senegalese national, Cherif Fall has emerged victorious in the Africa Tour 2024 Surfing event held in Liberia.
The competition, which brought together over 500 delegates from seven African countries, aimed to promote surfing in Africa and showcase the talent of African Surfers on the international stage.
During the award ceremony on May 26, organized by Madam Akeru Risk, the President of the Africa Tour 2024 Surfers Association, Cherif Fall was presented with a prize of $5,000 USD.
The event was made possible by the support of partners such as the Liberian Government, Orange Liberia and Spoon TV.
Mr. Oumar, also from Senegal, expressed his confidence in the future of surfing in Africa and praised the potential of young surfers, particularly in Liberia.
He announced a surfing scholarship for 11-year-old Augustine Ragan from Liberia, offering him the opportunity to attend the Africa Surfing Academy.
The organizers thanked President Joseph N. Boakai for his support of the event, with the goal of seeing Africa participate in the 2026 Olympic Surfing competition.
The Africa Tour 2024 Surfing event concluded successfully, with participants and organizers looking forward to the future of surfing in Africa.
