" I am Disappointed" Staunch UP Supporter Expressed Dismay in Pres. Boakai

By: William K. Howard

Lofa County: Many supporters of the Unity Party of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai seem to be already disappointed, the recent comments coming from "Thank You very much" regarding his disappointment in the failure of President Boakai and the government of Liberia.

Mr. Thank You very much expressed frustration and disappointment in the lack of progress and support from the current administration, particularly in relation to the availability of resources and access to government officials.

The stunt supporter of the UP during the 2023 general elections that brought them win and subsequent taking of State power highlighted the challenges he is facing, including a lack of gas for his bike and the inability to access to the President as was always done during the campaign, as well as his desire to engage in farming activities in his native, Lofa County.

He was recently seen in a video interview expressing his disappointment in President Boakai leadership, stating that he feels let down by the government's failure to address the needs of the people, especially in Lofa.

Furthermore, Mr. "Thank You very much" emphasized his desire for empowerment and support from President Boakai to engage in farming activities, including the production of rice and garri.

He expressed strong interest in returning to the farm and making a livelihood in agriculture, emphasizing the importance of self-sufficiency and independence.

While we acknowledge the concerns raised by him, the same has also been experienced with other supporters across the country where many who have opted to be selected in public positions are not, particularly those in rural areas.

We understand the importance of government support and empowerment for individuals to engage in productive and sustainable livelihoods, we are also encouraging those crying out to be a bit more patient because there is still room for more appointments, though some of the jobs expected have been given away.

Knewsonline also encouraged President Boakai and the government of Liberia to address those concerns raised by their supporters and other citizens, and work towards ensuring the well-being and prosperity of all Liberians, particularly those in rural communities.
