US Ambassador to the United Nations Meets with President Boakai during US-Africa Business Summit

Monrovia: The US Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has engaged in a cordial meeting with His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., during the ongoing US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas.

Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield commended President Boakai for his anti-corruption initiatives and recent moves to enhance accountability within Liberia. 

She specifically acknowledged the President's efforts to audit key government institutions and establish the Office of War and Economic Crimes Court through Executive Order #131. 

Ambassador Greenfield highlighted the importance of fortifying democratic institutions, bolstering the rule of law, and combating corruption. 

She assured President Boakai of the unwavering support of the United States in addressing these issues.

Expressing gratitude for Ambassador Greenfield's visit, President Boakai reaffirmed his dedication to tackling corruption, strengthening institutions, and advancing the rule of law. 

He underscored the significance of his administration's priorities in Agriculture, Roads, Rule of Law, Education, Sanitation, and Tourism, aimed at fostering sustainable development.

The meeting concluded with mutual assurances of continued collaboration between the United States and Liberia in areas of shared interest.
