BREAKING: Government Tells Lawmakers to Focus on Country, Not Politics

Capitol Hill, Liberia: The Government of Liberia has called on lawmakers to follow the Supreme Court’s ruling and end the leadership crisis in the House of Representatives.

Information Minister Jerolimek Matthew Piah said the ongoing dispute is hurting national progress and weakening trust in democracy. He urged lawmakers to stop the political fight and return to work for the good of the country.

The government wants lawmakers to put Liberia first, rise above personal interests, and focus on unity and development. Minister Piah said, “The road to recovery needs everyone working together.”

The Boakai administration thanked those already back at work and hopes the House will soon reunite to push forward the ARREST Agenda for national growth.
