Breaking News: Kogar leads by a margin of 16,252 votes.

Nimba County, Liberia: The ongoing vote tally for Nimba County, provisional results from 682 of the 736 polling places show a commanding lead for candidate Kogar, who has so far secured 56,706 votes, representing 51.43% of the ballots counted.

Trailing behind is candidate Edith, who has garnered 38,454 votes, translating to 34.87% of the vote share. With only 54 polling places left to report, Kogar’s lead of over 16,000 votes places him in a strong position as the vote count nears completion.

The atmosphere in Nimba remains tense but calm as citizens await final confirmation from the National Elections Commission (NEC).

Supporters of Kogar have begun early celebrations in key districts, while Edith’s campaign team remains hopeful that the remaining precincts could narrow the gap.

Election observers and political analysts are closely monitoring the remaining tallies, though many agree that overcoming Kogar’s current margin will be a significant challenge for Edith.

Stay tuned for more updates as the final results are announced.
