BREAKING NEWS: Boakai Suspends LACRA Boss and Deputy Over Corruption Allegations

Monrovia, Liberia: President Joseph Boakai has suspended the Director-General of the Liberia Agricultural Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA), Christopher D. Sankolo, and his Deputy for Administration and Finance, Chea B. Garley.
The decision follows serious allegations of financial and administrative misconduct.
The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) and the General Auditing Commission (GAC) have been instructed to investigate.
President Boakai has appointed Dan Torkamawon Saryee as Acting Director-General and Adolphus Forkpa as Acting Deputy Director.
The President says the move is part of his government’s zero tolerance for corruption.
