The report revealed that the government’s monthly wage bill dropped from $23.5 million to $21.1 million, showcasing the success of the payroll cleanup efforts by the Civil Service Agency.

It stated that over 12,000 government employees were verified as part of the ESRP, ensuring that only legitimate workers remain on the payroll.

Furthermore, more than 700 salary accounts linked to individuals without valid employment records were blocked, thereby saving additional $205,548 United States dollars annually.

The report emphasized that the cleanup has been instrumental in promoting accountability and restoring public confidence in the management of taxpayer funds.

Meanwhile, the 2024 annual report of the Civil Service Agency of Liberia focused on the importance of tackling payroll fraud and improving financial management to enhance government efficiency.
